It all started with a phone call on a friday afternoon, JB Picot - Hall04 Skateparks - on the other side of the line just mentionned that Seignosse's new skatepark would start taking shape the very next monday morning...this is when the idea of documenting the whole building process came to life, next thing you know it's a cold winter monday morning and we just positionned a GoPro camera and started filming a couple shots of the different actors involved...

Building a skatepark isn't as easy as you might think while you're skating it, it takes a lot of preparation from a lot of different specialists - earthwork, ground marking, soil stabilization, reinforcement and so on, it was indeed interesting to witness the birth of our future favorite playground!

Builders had to come across some serious climate variations during the constrution months, from heavy rains and hot sunny days to even a few centimeters snow cover late february, pretty unsual for the area but always bringing this little plus to an already stunning landscape...and giving workers a break!

When concrete starts to get poured is of course the best part of the whole process, this is when you start picturing yourself doing this trick here, of that slide there...you can hear the shiny surface calling for some urethane, the coping waiting for your Indy's and you can't wait to hit that tail on the fresh concrete to fly over the hips, which you should be able to do by the time you're reading this...
